Toulouse is the capital of the Haute-Garonne department, in the south of France. This beautiful place is known as the pink city, because of the ochre rooftops and the coral bricks of the churches. This 2000 years old city started as a settlement of Celts in the bank the Garonne river.

As the fourth largest city of France, Toulouse has a great art and historical legacy, with museums and mansions. And even with such a strong presence of the past, the city has a well-developed aerospace industry. Also, as expected from a French city, Toulouse has a rich cuisine culture. You definitely need to try the famous Cassoulet and the Toulouse sausage.

The historic district Vieux Toulouse is located at the centre of the city and it has the square called "Place du Capitole".
