One such attraction is the Palace of the Grand Master which is located at the end of the Street of Knights the palace was built in the 14th-century on a 7th-century Byzantine fortress. This is where the Knights of St. John ruled from 1309-1522. Rhodes is full of old castles and another such is the the Castle of Monolithos and whilst only the external walls remain, it was once one of the four most powerful castles in Rhodes.

The island is also famous for its beautiful beaches, like Kiotari which is located 60km from Rhodes City; here you will find a variety of bakery's, luxury hotels and patisseries. The beach is peaceful and quite, perfect for couples.
