Boasting an enviable location in the breathtaking Italian Lake District, surrounded by majestic mountain peaks and fresh mountain air, Como is a perfect base for exploring the superb natural beauty and surrounding villages of the area. The elegant town of Como itself, dominated by the soaring Gothic-Renaissance Cathedral, is rich in historical attractions, as well as a vibrant cafe culture, tempting seafood restaurants, and a bustling waterfront. Boats depart from Como towards the picture-perfect villages of Tremezzo and Cassago Brianza that pepper the edge of the lake whilst wooded paths lead down towards the pretty lakeside beaches, ideal for sunbathing and relaxation.
