In Gibraltar Airport you will have a choice between several car rental categories. According to your need and budget pick the correct model, deals start usually 9 euros / day.
Gibraltar is a charmingly British outpost on the Iberian coast. Mere miles away from a different currency, language and culture, this tiny piece of land remains fierecly protective of its Britishness. This results in a truly varied city that has innumerable fascinating attractions.
The towering and only significant landmark of the region is the Rock of Gibraltar. Used as an airbase during the Second World War and to the modern day, parts of it are blocked off but this still leaves plenty of room for the colony of 230 Barbary Macaque Monkeys. The top of the Rock is accessible by cable car, bus, or for the bravest of hikers, foot. Once the summit has been reached a stunning view is visible that overlooks a vast swathe of the surrounding Penninsula. The tip of Morocco is discernible on all but the foggiest of days. Switching the perspective from near to far brings the friendly monkeys into sight. Years of practise causes them to be as brave as any wild creature and they happily clamber all over tourists without being prompted. This is a unique attraction that can only really be experienced at Gibraltar.
Another great amusement at the foot of the rock comes with the marine wildlife. Dolphin safaris such as this offer a tour of the nearby sea. Dolphins are plentiful and native to the area, alongside a variety of other beautfiul exotic fish visible underneath the sapphire-like water. As well as the local fauna, whilst one is down by the newly developed Aqua complex there are beautiful white, sandy beaches to absorb.
Overall, Gibraltar is a distinctive outcrop on the south of Spain. The people are seemingly half Spanish, half English and all hospitable to tourists. The territory is effictively a small, friendly slice of London minus the rain and hustle-bustle.
