Benidorm, located in Southern Spain, is very much a holiday town which is popular through-out Europe. This popularity could be due to the four miles of beautiful beaches, the sunshine that shines on the town, the vibrant night-life or the numerous attractions, in Benidorm there really is something for everybody.

If you're an animal lover, you should take a visit to the Mundomar wildlife park, home to 80 different species. Some of the species that you can see here include dolphins, sea-lions, penguins and exotic birds, all the animals in this park are a delight to see. Whilst here, you could also experience swimming with sea-lions or an encounter with dolphins, often the thing of dreams. If you love the water, you could always visit the park adjacent to Mundomar, known as Aqualandia, Spain's first water park. If thrills are more your thing, then a theme park is an essential part of your visit. The Terra Mitica theme park has everything you need to get that adrenaline pumping. The park is seperated into five areas, all being modelled on ancient civilisations with opportunities as you walk through to enjoy all the rides as well as take in many different shows. If you prefer quieter activities, you may wish to take in some of the Spanish culture by visiting the House Museum, or Casa Museo de Benidorm, housed in the Passeig de la Carretera building, in the centre of Benidorm. This is the towns primary art gallery and there are many paintings and sculptures on display, with the added benefit of admission being free.

If you wish to enjoy the nature of the area, perhaps you should take a trip across to Peacock Island, located slightly off-shore of the bay area. This island is a protected national park, home to many species of birds, with the only development being one small restaurant. Boats embark on the 20 minute journey to the island every hour and once there you are free to explore as you wish.

There are so many things you can do in Benidorm; a stroll through old-town, a night out in a cabaret bar, a day on the beach or a visit to a park, there is something that everybody can enjoy.
