Manchester Airport (IATA: MAN, ICAO: EGCC) is an international airport in Ringway, Manchester, England, 7. 5 nautical miles (13. 9 km; 8. 6 mi) south-west of Manchester city centre. In 2017, it was the third busiest airport in the United Kingdom after London Heathrow and Gatwick, handling 27. 8 million passengers. The airport has two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, which are linked by the Skylink people mover. Terminal 1 is divided into two sections, the North Terminal and the South Terminal. Terminal 3 is exclusively used by British Airways and its franchise partners American Airlines and Iberia. The airport is a major base for Flybe and Thomas Cook Airlines. It is also a hub for Jet2 and Ryanair. The airport is owned and operated by the Manchester Airports Group (MAG). There are several car rental companies located in both terminals at Manchester Airport. Terminal 1 has Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. Terminal 3 has Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and National. The airport is well connected to the city center of Manchester by bus. The journey time is around 30 minutes and the distance is about 10 km. The bus stop is located outside of Terminal 1 near the arrivals area.
